Happy New Year!

Happy 2018 from KMR Construction staff!  As we usher in the New Year, here is a look back at what our headlines read over 2017.

  • January
    • Donald Trump is sworn in as the 45th president of the United States.
    • The Dow hits the 20,000 mark for the first time in history.
    • A $722 million class action lawsuit is filed against the EPA on behalf of those impacted by the Flint, Michigan water crisis.
  • August
    • A total solar eclipse occurs, spanning the US from coast to coast, an event that has not taken place for 99 years.
    • Hurricane Harvey makes landfall in Texas, claiming 82 lives.
  • September
    • The Florida Keys suffers a death toll of 61 after being hit with Hurricane Irma.
    • Hurricane Maria slams Puerto Rico, killing at least 64 people.
  • October
    •   A man opens fire on a crowd of concertgoers in Las Vegas, killing 58 people and injuring almost 500, making it the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history.
    • Eight people were killed when a man drove a truck down a busy bicycle path in New York City in the name of ISIS.
  • November
    • A gunman opens fire on a small church in Sutherland Springs, TX, killing 26.
  • December
    • President Trump recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and commits to relocating the US Embassy to that location.
