With 2017 in the books, many people anticipate the New Year as an opportunity for positive growth and change.  A great way to revamp quality of life is to find a new job.  Recently, WalletHub compared 182 U.S. cities, ranking the various areas according to job-market strength.  The good news: if you’re in Texas, you are likely able to stay put.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the national unemployment rate has fallen to a 17-year low of 4.1 percent and hiring is on the rise.  Additionally, the National Association of Colleges and Employers indicate employers will be hiring four percent more college graduates in 2018 than that of the previous year.

Of the 182 metropolitan areas included in WalletHub’s review, 16 cities are located in Texas; with 11 in the top 50 percent.
